Performing on Cultural Routes on the Via Eurasia

Performing on Cultural Routes on the Via Eurasia

The Via Eurasia, which is a long-distance walking trail running between Italy through the Balkans to Turkey, was host to a series of workshops and performance art events that aimed to link the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the trail with contemporary arts. Participating In these workshops were local villagers, emerging artists, academics, students and three professional performance facilitators/artists.

We think this is the first time for such an innovative combination and hope that it inspires other trails and cultural routes around the world.

You can read or download the methodology handbook and find more information on the Via Eurasia website.
